Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture

I hold an MA in Mandarin Chinese from Edinburgh University, and a BSc in Chinese Medicine from the University of Westminster. Since completing my Acupuncture degree in 2012 I have continued my studies with many outstanding teachers, but most consistently with the Association of Traditional Studies under Andrew Nugent-Head’s guidance. His style of Classical Chinese Medicine has influenced me greatly, and his teaching clinic in Asheville NC was a significant inspiration for setting up Miller’s Way Project, which I run with two of my excellent colleagues of over a decade.

The project is a multi-disciplinary health clinic, with classical Chinese medicine at its core, which combines the expertise of a diverse group of highly skilled and experienced practitioners, each having their own approach and techniques to address a broad array of health complaints and conditions. It is a truly holistic centre that places the patient at the forefront of their care, emphasising education and agency as an integral part of the healing process.

The classical acupuncture that I practice has its founding principles outlined in the original texts of Daoism and Chinese Medicine, the dense and cryptic wisdom of which has been divulged to me under the excellent guidance of Andrew and his wife JulieAnn, and more recently Dr David White of the Institute of Neijing Research. Their extensive knowledge was honed by years of training and study and experience in China under some of the last great teacher-practitioners that were there.

You can read more about the clinic, its practitioners, and our approach at MILLER’S WAY PROJECTwhere you are also able to book directly with me for an appointment.
